A Note From Our Founder
I wrote my first book The City of Dating, A Memoir, after a never-ending trend of failed relationships and situationships. I felt discouraged from dating, wondering if I was ever going to find my so-called soulmate. To understand the meaning of dating, I took to writing thank you letters to my past dates, relationships, and one-night stands—letters that were never sent but published into a book. It was only after I healed my past wounds, I learned dating shaped me into the woman I am today.
Dating is more than finding one soulmate. It is a lifeline to who we are and who we are meant to be. Dating opens us up to a world of new connections, perspectives, cultures, and spirituality. A universal journey to be enjoyed at every stage, or age. I founded The City of Dating to switch the narrative—to show how dating and relationships grow in many forms from all the connections we make in our lives. The City of Dating is where we date to find ourselves, not our soulmates.

Our Dating Narrative
We bring life back to dating. Life doesn’t begin when you find one person, it starts with you. We don’t believe in a rule book. Instead, we use open conversations about dating and love to help people create a fulfilling dating life. A dating wellness platform sharing tips and personalized coaching to help daters of any age or gender build healthy dating habits they can practice in every new or old connection. Dating is an essential part of our lives. Dating is connection. Dating is growth. Dating is what we want it to be. We are in control of the narrative.

We believe everyone deserves to enjoy their dating life, no matter where you’re at in your journey! Dating is a part of everyone’s life in diverse ways. It is a process worthy of our love and attention.
Dating and relationships look different for everyone. It is not one size fits all. That’s why we’re burning the dating rule book and rebuilding our own. Not filled with strict rules but with healthy boundaries, dating intentions, lessons, and flexible tools to create a fulfilling dating life that leads to real connections.

Date support when daters need it most. Designed to seamlessly add to pre or post-date routines, our 1-1 Date Support Calls boost confidence and/or encourage post-date reflection. Aka dating mindfully! 20-minute calls help daters connect with their authentic self, prepare date questions and topics, set date intentions, or reduce overthinking after a date. We’re making the dating world a better place, one date at a time.

Program & 1-1 Coaching
Our Build Your Narrative Program and 1-1 Dating Coaching provide a personalized space for daters to heal, explore, and mindfully build an enjoyable dating life that aligns with them. Daters sustainably develop healthy dating tools, while shifting the focus back to the individual. By increasing self-awareness and self-advocacy, daters raise their frequency and become the leading driver of their dating life. Together, we’re cultivating healthier connections and attracting enjoyable dating/relationship experiences!
Our Dating Advice Column
Written by our founder and dating coach, Stevie Bowen, our dating advice column reflects modern dating. The weekly topics are inspired by conversations with real daters, Stevie’s personal dating journey, and today’s pop culture news. It is the heart of our dating wellness platform sharing tips and perspectives on the inner world of dating. We bring together all layers of our dating lives by starting conversations of intimacy, platonic and romantic relationships, and self-love—life.
Dater’s Mag is an online magazine sharing the latest dating culture news, hot takes, and inclusive dating stories. Highlighting diverse love and inspirational relationship types with seasonal cover stories each year.
