Why 60% of My Date Coaching Clients Are Men

How I Became a NYC Dating Coach for Men Seeking Dating Confidence

I seem to attract men who aren’t afraid of pink… that’s what I like to say anyway. If you haven’t noticed yet, my branding is pink. Many suggest I adjust to bring in more male clientele, but they seem to find me on their own accord.

I am a dating coach for both men and women. Why? Because building dating confidence isn’t gender specific. Every dater has their dating challenges, and every dater deserves to find the support they need.

It’s not embarrassing or shameful to seek dating help. It shows you care enough about something to do the thing that will help you get to your goal. And what’s more attractive than a man bettering himself and doing the work?

These days, daters are looking for people who are self-aware and emotionally secure. Doing the work, hiring a coach, therapist, or mentor, can help you build your most valuable asset in dating: being confident in who you are, the actions you’re taking, and what you truly want.

It’s hot to be confident. And that starts with confidence in yourself. That’s why 60% of my date coaching clients are men. They desire to be confident, to be able to attract the right person to build a healthy relationship with. Men are doing the work. Just like women are.

Why would a man want to work with a date coach like me?

In my experience, men appreciate the one-on-one focus. Unlike most women, men have less access to groups and friendships to discuss dating and relationships. My date coaching sessions are a safe, non-judgmental space to work through your dating challenges and create personalized tools for them. We map the micro-actions you can start to do in your daily life, whether that’s in-person, at events, or on dating apps. There’s a logical way to get to where you want to go.

Plus, my female perspective and expertise are valued. I am kindly frank and help my clients see where a negative dating pattern may lie or something you need to change. Making adjustments may take time. It can be hard to hear what you may be doing wrong. But with support and patience, positive change can create the new outcome you desire. Which may be hard to admit for some people… wanting a committed, long-term relationship.

That desire is not reserved for women. All people can feel the pull for something more committal. In Tinder’s 2024 The Green Flag Study, they found that 53% of men said they want a romantic relationship, while 68% of women said they also do. That’s not as big of a gap as some may think.

In my date coaching, I help validate and shift the mindset of my clients, specifically men, to find confidence in their wants. Together, we create actions and tools that lead them to the relationship they desire.

My male clients are committed to doing the work. They aren’t afraid of a little pink. Don’t just take it from me. Read how my male clients have found confidence with date coaching.

“Before, I would sometimes hesitate to move things forward or worry too much about how something might be perceived. Now I’m a lot more comfortable just being direct and letting things play out naturally. Conversations feel easier and I don’t feel like I’m trying to “figure out the right move” every second.” - AR, 33 Man
